These window treatments add style and colour to any window while maintaining privacy and preventing direct sunlight from entering the room. Curtains and blinds used in a space can transform it completely.Curtains play a vital role in a space via their texture,fabrics,styles,colors and patterns. 1. Eyelet curtains
Light weight and medium weight fabrics are used.It comprises of silver rings at the header that a rod weaves through. They can hang easily and therefore they are ideal for kids bedroom.If a more formal fabric is used the eyelet curtain serve the best option for bedroom or lounge.
2. Rod Pocket Curtains
Rod Pocket Curtains are also known as a casement curtain. The pocket is sewn across the top of the curtain panel through which the curtain rod is inserted. Rod pocket curtains are made of lightweight fabrics and are typically unlined fora more casual feel.
3. Pinch Pleated curtains
Pinch Pleat Drapes is the most common style. It is a series of equally spaced single, double, or triple pleats that are pinched in the center, forming fans above and below the pinch.
4. Box pleated curtains
As their name suggest box pleated curtains are actually boxes placed next to each other.They give a very tailored look and drape into deep folds creating a formal pleated look.They are ideal for rooms like lounges,dining or study.
5. Goblet Pleat Drapes:
Goblet Pleat Drapes is like a triple-pinch pleat. The pleat at the top look like a glass. To keep the goblet pleat looking full and rounded, they should be shaped with interlining.
6. Pelmets and Valances
Pelmets are decorative framework used to hide curtain fixtures at the top of window casing.They are usually made out of wood, Flat and box like in shape, they can be shaped to add decorative details.
Valances are softer in appearance with gathered or pleated heading.Pelmets and valances are used in bedrooms, drawing room, restaurants, etc.\
7. Tab top curtains
The loops of fabric are on the top and can be hung only on the rod.This is the informal style of curtain and can be used for all weights of fabrics as they are hung evenly and have repetitions. They have a folded appearance and are used in bedrooms ,dining rooms etc.
8. Goblet pleat Curtains
The top of goblet pleat curtains represents a wine glass.They are ideal for grand spaces i.e the spaces with high ceiling. They should be shaped with interlining or wadding.They are used in bedrooms,hotel rooms,lounges,Drawing room etc.
9. Sheer Curtains
Sheer curtains are translucent, offer little privacy and filter light. They tend to block the view from the outside without obstructing it from inside. If you require a curtain that blocks light, these will not work for you.
10. Blind curtains
They can be used alone or in the combination with a fabric for a cozier look.They are also known as Roman Curtains. They are a good option when you are looking for light control and privacy.They can be used in offices,formal and non formal spaces as per requirement.
11. Blackout Curtains
Blackout refers to a foam-backed, opaque fabric used to black out light. Blackout fabrics are most commonly found in hotel rooms as curtain linings or drapery fabrics, blocking much of the light that would otherwise enter through a window when the curtains are closed
12. Cafe Curtains
Cafe curtain can be hung halfway up the window, nearly at the top, or closer to the bottom of the window. The height of the curtain is made to match a dividing line already in the window.The advantage to hanging a cafe curtain in your home is that it adds privacy and light control to a room without blocking out all the light at the upper part of the window.Cafe curtains work well in kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
